karaoke
Karaoke is a Japanese term for a performance in which a person sings along to recorded music. Amateur singers choose their favorite well-known song to sing and then perform it for the audience in restaurants and clubs. In this performance, some special types of equipment include a microphone, a large book of songs to choose from, a projector for displaying the song lyrics, and a music system for playing the recording.
The Karaoke performer uses the screen to read the words to the song while the recorder track plays. Sometimes, that lyric that is displayed also includes changing colors or an animated symbol that helps the performer keep the rhythm and sing the proper lyrics in time with the music.
Guitar
A fretted musical instrument with six strings, the guitar is a fretted musical instrument. It's usually performed with both hands, with one hand strumming or plucking the strings with a guitar pick or the finger(s)/fingernails, and the other hand fretting (pushing the strings against the frets) with the fingers. The sound of the vibrating strings is projected either acoustically (through the hollow chamber of the guitar in the case of an acoustic guitar) or electrically (via an amplifier and a speaker in the case of an electric guitar).
Keyboard
With less complex sound synthesis, electronic keyboards can recreate a wide range of instrument sounds (piano, electric piano, Hammond organ, pipe organ, violin, etc.) and synthesis tones. Electronic keyboards are usually designed for beginners (who want to learn the keyboard) and for non-professional users. They typically have unweighted keys.
